OneRepo BackupPilot deb
Administration

A native Linux desktop backup client for Proxmox Backup Server (PBS).

BackupPilot wraps the official proxmox-backup-client in a modern GNOME app (GTK4 and Libadwaita) with a background service. You can protect local files and folders, run scheduled backups, monitor job health, and restore from snapshots — without using the command line.

The onboarding assistant guides you through the initial setup process. Create an encryption key, connect your Proxmox Backup Server, discover compatible PBS cloud providers, or postpone the configuration until later.

Configure a new backup profile by defining the backup server connection, authentication details, execution mode, and backup settings. Profiles make it easy to manage multiple backup jobs and schedules from a single interface.

The Overview page provides a quick summary of configured backup jobs and recent backup activity. Instantly see the latest backup results and verify that your data is being protected successfully.

Browse available backup snapshots, explore archived files and folders, and restore selected data to a chosen destination. Restore operations can recover individual files, folders, or entire backup archives.

BackupPilot includes a powerful command-line interface for automation, scripting, and server environments. Manage backup profiles, start backups, browse snapshots, restore files, mount archives, manage encryption keys, and monitor backup activity directly from the terminal. The CLI is designed for both interactive use and unattended operation through scripts, cron jobs, or system services.
